In the hopes of exploring the potential of the available resources online, the Holy Cross of Davao College in partnership with the Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS) has launched a free webinar series to equip DACS-member schools with the necessary knowledge in setting up their own functional website.

Officially started on February 13, the HCDC Webinar Series aims to help schools in the creation, planning and management of a school website in a small-sized organization setting.

The program also hopes to impart additional information on the importance of a school website.

HCDC President Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C. graced the online event emphasizing on the importance of technology in this modern age.

“We believe in the importance of an educational website [and] how it can help us navigate as an educational institution in this time and age. This is a concrete project of collaboration and solidarity among ourselves, DACS and other schools”, Br. Deloria said.

The webinar series was attended by several DACS-member school namely Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School, Assumpta School of Tagum, Inc., Assumption Academy of Compostela, Inc., Assumption Academy of Mawab, Inc., Assumption Polytechnic College of Southern Mindanao, Gabriel Taborin College of Davao Foundation, Inc., Holy Cross College of Sasa, Holy Cross of Hagonoy, Inc., Holy Cross of Malalag, Inc., Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy, Letran de Davao of Maco, Inc., Maryknoll School of Lambajon, Inc., Saint Michael’s School of Padada, Inc., St. Mary’s Academy of Sta. Cruz, Inc., St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. and St. Paul II College Of Davao.

The first of the two-part series, which was also held on the same day, discussed topics concerning starting up a school website along with its planning and management.

Among the keynote speakers were Engr. Gernante Polestico from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Derf Hanzel Maiz of the Center for Social Communications, Alumni and Linkages.

The second part of the series is slated for the second quarter of the year with topics on web design, content management system and branding.

The Holy Cross of Davao College aspires to build a strong and Christ-centered community through DACS-member schools as beneficiaries of the institution’s community extension programs.

The HCDC Webinar Series is anchored on the HCDC’s Human Connectivity and Digital Citizenship Advocacy Progam and Alumni Involvement, Bayanihan and Outreach Program (ALIBYO Crossian), programs initiated by the Center for Social Communications, Alumni and Linkages of HCDC.
